If you’re an Ohio State fan and didn’t know already, Troy Stellato is going to Clemson in 2021 to play wide receiver. Stellato was down to Ohio State and Clemson and yesterday went with the Tigers over the Buckeyes. Tyler Grisham recruited him for Clemson while Brian Hartline was recruiting him for OSU.
Tyler Grisham was brought into the program at Clemson during the recruitment of Stellato after prior wide receivers coach Jeff Scott left for a position with the Southern Florida Bulls.
What Troy Stellato Offers
Stellato is a lean receiver who could bulk up over time but extremely quick running a 4.42 in February. Plays the slot at Cardinal Gibbons which gives him space off the line and linebacker coverage. Great hands and can make moves in the open field. Cardinal Gibbons went 10-3 in 2019 with Stellato active for his junior year.
Stellato had over 40 offers from college programs but had reduced his list down to Ohio State and Clemson. Standing at 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, he had over 700 yards in two consistent seasons in Southern Florida. Having 9 touchdowns last season and his great speed performance brought on the recruits this past year.
Visits for Troy Stellato
Stellato was able to make a visit to Ohio State after receiving an offer and those trips along with an early offer put Ohio Sate in the drivers seat. He was unable to visit too many other programs due to the NCAA restrictions on visits due to the corona-virus pandemic. But he did visit Clemson in November and again in March which solidified his interest.
Clemson Tiger 2021 Recruiting Class
Ohio State still has the top recruiting class in the country for 2021 with 19 recruits. With the addition of Stellato, Clemson climbs into the 2nd place slot with 14 players in the fold. The Tigers now have three wide receivers in the class including Dacari Collins, Beaux Collins, and Stellato.Troy Stellato Fort Lauderdale Wide Receiver Going to Clemson by Steven R
