This Veterans Day thank a Veteran for his or her service to our nation.

NOTE: On NNR Samantha Bunten of NBC Sports and I discussed the news of the day, injuries news, and reviewed all week 9 games.

This is Veterans Day is intended to help us remember all of those that have served and those that have died protecting our freedoms. I never served but after I graduated from Ohio State I did volunteer for the Navy during the Viet Nam war. I was 4F but my Dad was the first man on Omaha Red 2 hours before the D-Day invasion. I grew up with a great respect for the military. His memories have been recently published by Merriam-press.com.

Almost 1000 World War II veterans die every day. The next time you see a Veteran thank him or her for their service. They are the best of the best. Each of the recent Veterans volunteered for service knowing full well that they would see action in the War on Terror. It takes a special person to volunteer to fight for you and I.

Those that came back from Viet Nam never got the parades or appreciation that other returning Veterans have had. They deserve it as well. Your thanks will mean the world to them. It will help give meaning to Veterans Day for you as well.

That is what I think. Tell us what you think by commenting here or tweeting me @NNRonDSN.

Things to remember on 9-11

911

The anniversary of the worst attack in the history of the US is the time to remember not only those that died in the attacks but also those that volunteered to defend us all that have died since.

Also remember the service of all of those that have been part of the war on terror and have come back. We owe them our thanks and a smooth transition back into civilian life.

I have written a book From Unemployment to Wealth which I am offering free to any veteran that needs a good job or is looking to improve their lives and those of their families.

No man or woman that volunteered to fight for our nation should ever face unemployment or under-employment. We owe our veterans so much. As a result, I am offering an E-book I wrote for free to any veteran that requests it. There are no strings attached. I offer it because I want to honor their service to our nation.

From Unemployment to Wealth gives anyone the tools to find a sales job, get it, and succeed at it. Sales jobs are by far the most requested and highest paying positions. Average outside sales people can earn 100K or more a year. The book covers all kinds of sales jobs and the critical techniques to make the reader successful in them.

I have spent my career teaching sales people how to be effective and efficient. As a consultant I have worked for companies as large as Allied Van Lines and IBM to the smallest family owned retail store. I have included over 100 unique techniques that I have developed over the last 40 years as a consultant. I have also taught salesmanship at the college level.

Please give my email [email protected] to any veteran you know that is struggling to make a living. Also please retweet my tweets about this offer. I am trying to help as many veterans as I can.

I have given copies of the E-book to the Wounded Warriors, Ohio National Guard, VFW, and other organizations that have contact with returning veterans. If you are part of a group that helps veterans returning to civilian life, please contact me to get your organization involved.

Thanks for your help and thanks to all of you that have served our nation. God bless American and our troops.
