Why Ohio State?

Gosnell decided on joining Ohio State after watching the Buckeyes beat Penn State on Saturday. He liked what he saw in the way Ohio State utilized their tight ends in the game. And he felt Luke Farrell and Jeremy Ruckert were complete players with their ability to block and catch. That is something he wants for his college development, to become a complete tight end.

Last season Gosnell went 422 yards on 25 catches along with 5 touchdowns.

Benji Gosnell Visits

Gosnell has been unable to make visits to campus but has been on virtual tours with the coaches. Ryan Day played a big part in getting him to join the class, taking regular texts and explaining everything OSU had to offer.

Ohio State 2022 Class

Ohio State’s 2022 class now has two tight ends in Gosnell and Bennett Christian in addition to linebackers Gabe Powers and CJ Hicks, offensive tackle Tegra Tshabola, and defensive backs Dasan McCullough and Jyaire Brown. The class is currently ranked the best in the country.
