3 Star Offensive Tackle Aliou Bah, currently playing for IMG Academy in Bradenton Florida, wants the ability to visit with coaches and see campuses before making a college selection as he retweeted a post by Jake Pope. With over 36 offers, the 6’6” 325 tackle is highly sought after by many school buy has narrowed the list down to Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan State, and Oklahoma. A Crystal Ball prediction by Bill Kurelic has him going to Columbus Ohio in 2022. NCAA rules have limited visits to help stop the spread of Covid 19 and keep kids safe. But the situation is not normal and makes selecting a school more of a guess than a great feeling.

Who is Recruiting Aliou Bah

Bah is considered the 53rd best offensive tackle in the country and the 72nd overall prospect in Florida. He is originally from Memphis Tennessee and is being recruited for Ohio State from offensive line coach Greg Studrawa. Alex Atkins is recruiting Bah for Florida State and Chris Kapilovic is recruiting Bah for Michigan State.

Ohio State’s 2022 Offensive Line Class

Although Ohio State has one offensive line player in the class of 2022, Tegra Tshabola from Lakota West Ohio, this is the most important position for the Buckeyes to recruit for 2022. They missed JC Latham in 2021 to a late push by Alabama and have a number of starters leaving the program. Other players coach Ryan Day are recruiting at the position include Liberty Christian Zach Rice and Charlestown Indiana Kiyaunta Goodwin.

Outside Linebacker Raesjon Davis Visits Columbus Ohio

Tags: , , , ,

Top linebacker recruit Raesjon Davis visited Ohio State this past weekend to take a look at the campus and facilities, although the family was not allowed to meet with the coaching staff. The staff has been very active trying to lure Davis to Columbus for 2021 in a class that ranked 2nd in the country (behind Alabama) but only contains one linebacker, Reid Carrico. Davis is considered a 4 star recruit, the 4th best outside linebacker nationally, and the 4th best overall recruit from California.

Most experts are predicting Davis will commit to The University of Southern California when the late signing period ends. He has over 23 offers with schools such as LSU, Oregon, Auburn and Ohio State showing interest. For a long-time considered an LSU commit, he recently has opened up his recruitment. There are two weeks remaining to decide before the February signing period ends on February 3rd. Ohio State hopes to finish strong on two remaining prospects.

Raesjon Davis Excited

At 6’1” and 215 lbs., he has great size and speed. He came to Columbus with his parents for the weekend visit. He seemed pretty excited about Ohio State after the visit and is considering returning soon. If Davis does return to Ohio before the final signing day, then the contest between USC and OSU would be considered minimal.

Ohio State is assumed to be the lead program for 5 star defensive end JT Tuimoloau from Washington. Most 2021 recruits have signed and enrolled already for Ohio State.

Teams Recruiting JT Tuimoloau

For college football, J.T. Tuimoloau has 24 offers to play in a number of high caliber schools. The invites are as near as his home state and from universities as far as the Southeastern United States. The schools are:

  1. Alabama
  2. the Ohio State University
  3. Stanford
  4. USC
  5. Washington
  6. Arizona State
  7. Auburn
  8. Boise State
  9. Colorado
  10. Florida
  11. Michigan
  12. Nebraska
  13. Notre Dame
  14. Oklahoma
  15. Oregon
  16. Oregon State
  17. Penn State
  18. Tennessee
  19. Texas
  20. Texas A & M
  21. UCLA
  22. Utah
  23. Vanderbilt
  24. Wisconsin

J.T. Tuimoloau has given a warm reception to the invitations to play at Alabama, Ohio State, Stanford, USC, and Washington. But he has still one more year left in high school to decide.

Coaches in Pursuit

In the meantime, there are top notch coaches who are recruiting him personally, showing their interest in his services for the 2021 season:

  1. Jimmy Lake – Head Coach of the Washington Huskies, one of the teams J.T. Tuimoloau favors, is just starting his first year in this school. J.T. had visited the Seattle campus, and even though this school is in his home state, he might be jittery playing under the neophyte coach.
  2. Ryan Day – J.T. Tuimoloau is being recruited, in behalf of Head Coach Ryan Day, by Assistant Coach Larry Johnson to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Even though the Defensive Tackle position is already loaded in the team, J.T. is too good a prospect to not be sent an invitation. But his huge frame could augur well for the team’s other defense positions. Ohio State is the most favored team of J.T. Tuimoloau at the present due to its colorful history of Big Ten titles and journeys to the College Football Playoffs. J.T. might just be convinced to relocate from the northwest to the midwest.
  3. Clay Helton – Although USC is also on the preferred list of J.T. Tuimoloau, Head Coach Clay Helton should prove that the USC Trojans are of championship caliber before he decides in 2021. Helton’s coaching job is on the line right now, and the school’s recruiting woes are not making the future any brighter. Their commitments this year from quarterback Jake Garcia, outside linebacker Ma’a Gaoteote, and defensive tackle Jay Toia ranks them just 55th nationwide and tenth in the Pac-12.
  4. David Shaw – The Head Coach of the Stanford Cardinals is in a bind for the 2021 season when his team’s defensive line will be depleted and J.T. Tuimoloau will be a very welcome addition. His starting quarterback K.J. Costello transferred to Mississippi State on his last year of eligibility which gives Shaw a headache on how to improve on the team’s 21st place showing and third place in the Pac12. But the prospect of both a quality education and a football career at Stanford gave J.T. some serious thought to consider playing there.
  5. Nick Saban – The Head Coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide, together with his top caliber coaching staff, and the superb facilities of the university, is leading the most excellent football program in the
country. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and defensive coordinator Pete Golding invited J.T. Tuimoloau to Alabama’s school camp in 2018 and J.T. was impressed. J.T. could pull off a lot of
playing time in his first three seasons if he decides to play for the school because the team is sorely lacking in juniors and seniors at the moment.
Ohio State recruiting: JT Tuimoloau latest, defensive class breakdown

JT Tuimoloau still has one school year to decide on where his heart is for college football. But drifting news puts the money on Ohio State due to the lasting impression on J.T. that the school has a long history of Big Ten wins and colorful history in the College Playoffs.

Ohio States 2021 Class

The Washington state native would look good for the midwest Ohio State Buckeyes because he would be joining a head turning 2021 class consisting of USA No. 2 DE Jack Sawyer and No. 4 DT Mike Hall. Not only them, but already with the team are Taron Vincent, also a no. 1 tackle when he arrived in 2018, and J.T. Tuimoloau will be playing again with fellow Eastsider four star wide receiver Gee Scott Jr. who just joined the Buckeyes this year.

What Andre Turrentine Brings

Turrentine put up 73 tackles last year with 10 catches at wide receiver and a couple of touchdowns. He will get more opportunities on offense this coming year but can play anywhere in the defensive backfield when he gets to Columbus. He is a lanky safety who plays fast and physical.

His coach at Ensworth, Matt Barnes, told reporters that Turrentine loves football and everything about football.

Ohio State 2021 Class

Ohio State’s 2021 class is the best in the country and continues to improve with each new highly rated recruit.

Recruits are taking a look at the defensive backs coming out of Ohio State and going to the NFL year after year and getting really excited about an offer to work with coach Coombs. The Buckeyes could still add another corner-back to the class before it is complete.
