On January 4th, 2022, Carson Hinzman committed to Ohio State and signed a Letter of Intent on February 2nd. The change in lineman coach Greg Studrawa to Justin Frye had little effect on him. Hammond Wisconsin St Croix Central was his high school. He received 23 offers in total, with Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Ohio State among his top choices.

George Fitzpatrick (twitter), a 6’6″ 285 lbs. offensive tackle prospect from Englewood Colorado recently committed to the Ohio State 2022 recruiting class. He is rated a 4 star recruit, the 27th best offensive tackle in the nation, and the 2nd best player in the state of Colorado. He made June 2022 visits to Florida, Oregon, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Ohio State, while having over 29 scholarship offers. This was the second time he made it to Columbus Ohio after visiting on his own in February during the dead period. Colorado recruiter Tony Alford and line coach Greg Studrawa successfully recruited Fitzpatrick for the Buckeyes.

Scouts like his athleticism, height and the prospect of increasing in size early in his college career. He shows great burst off the line and an ability to get to the line backers in run situations. He has limited reps at pass protection but some feel his agility demonstrates the capacity. Playing right tackle in high school at Cherry Creek, he displayed an ability to finish blocks. His team got to the State Championships the past two years going undefeated.
