Miles Walker received a scholarship offer from the OSU Buckeyes in May of 2022 and committed to Ohio State on July 8th via Twitter. Ohio State wanted an additional offensive tackle for 2023 after getting commitments from two guards in Austin Siereveld and Joshua Padilla. Walker is from Brunswick School in Greenwich Connecticut. The visit to Ohio State set them apart, meeting the players, and the coaches.

Offensive Line Coach Justin Frye recruited Walker for Ohio State. AJ Blazek recruited him for Vanderbilt and Phil Trautwein was for Penn State.

Walker had 19 Scholarship Offers overall. His favorite schools were Ohio State, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Duke, and Texas A&M. He committed to Ohio State at the beginning of July.

Walker took a number of official visits before making a decision. He went to Texas A&M on June 3rd, Ohio State on June 10th, Duke on June 17th, Penn State on June 21st, and Vanderbilt on June 24th.

After their Spring Game this past weekend, Ohio State received a commitment from 4 star recruit Dijon Johnson. Johnson is a 2023 corner back from Wharton Tampa Florida. He is considered the 29th best back in the country and had offers from USC, Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma, in addition to many others.

At 6’1″ 170 lbs. Johnson is the first corner back for Ohio State in 2023. He is the 5th Florida prospect to join the team. He stated after his commitment that Ohio State always led for him. It was his dream school growing up and he loves everything about the school and the football program.

Dijon Johnson Visits

Johnson does have two summer visits scheduled including one to Oklahoma and one to USC. He made unofficial visits to Ohio State on April 16th and Oklahoma on March 3rd. Many feel Johnson is a shut-down corner that will make teams avoid an entire side of the field when passing. Last season he had 6 interceptions and returned 4 of them for touchdowns.
