The investigation of Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam stinks of politics.

Anyone that knows the background of Attorney General Eric Holder would expect another attack on Republicans.

It was Holder that refused to prosecute the New Black Panthers for threatening white voters with weapons outside Philadelphia voting locations.

It was Holder that pushed the Obama regime to sue Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the state of Arizona for having the gall to enforce federal and state immigration laws.

It was Holder that refused to inform Congress about giving guns to known drug lords (Operation Fast and Furious) then trying to cover it up.  After it blew up in his face, he even tried to use the scandal to justify stricter gun control laws.

And of course Holder and the Obama regime are not at all bashful about using the IRS to further their political agenda.  The Congress is just now getting started investigating the IRS suppressing conservative votes in the 2012 election by refusing to approve Tea Party groups’ applications for non-profit status.

So it should not have surprised anyone that the Obama regime would go after an gas and oil distribution company owned by a family that includes the Republican Governor of Tennessee.  While the charges against Haslam are … Read more at FryingPanSports

4 Ways to Enhance Your Spring Training Baseball Experience

It’s that time of year again! It might still be snowing in some parts of the country, but residents in Arizona and Florida are pulling out their short sleeves and flip flops for another round of Spring Training baseball. The regular season won’t start until the end of March, but in the meantime, players and fans alike are warming up in the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues.

If you’re planning a trip to either of these locations to take in a game or two, here’s some tips to maximize your experience:

Pick a team. Sure, it can be argued that a baseball game is largely about the experience and not so much about the slow-moving game in front of you. But even if that’s true, it’s more fun when you’re invested in one of the teams playing. If you’re stuck in Florida and your team is in Arizona, go ahead and pick a second favorite for the time being! Unless you’re feeling antagonistic, your best bet is to pick the team of the stadium you’ll be attending — wouldn’t want to cause any of the stalwart fans to get feisty!

Buy some gear. Whether you just picked a team to root … Read more at FryingPanSports

Garage Bike Storage Solutions

Everybody who owns a garage vow at some point or other that they must sort out all the stuff and organized it so that it looks nice and everything is at hand when they need it. But because of the sort of things you have to store, garages tend to become extremely cluttered spaces. One of the worst culprits are the bikes. They look innocent enough and make you think they won’t take much space but they always seem to get in the way. So lets look at some garage bike storage ideas I came across in a consumer product reviews website so that you can store your bike efficiently and without it getting in your way.

That article I referred says it is best to put a bike in a shed of its own if you have any form of outside space in your premises because it will free up space in your garage. However since this isn’t a option for most people then you have to make the most of the space available in the garage by using a efficient bike storing method. There are several such methods mentioned in that article which include the following.

1) Use … Read more at FryingPanSports

Things to look for this week in College and Pro football.

FOOTball

The Big East is a fraud. Despite the pollsters doing their best to get a BE team into the top 25, the league stinks this year. Several teams have crept into the top 25 only to lose and fall back out the next week. The current top team is Syracuse (6-2) who is tied for 28th in the AP. The league is recruiting BcS #3 TCU to join the league. TCU would love to get into an automatic qualifying conference. The BE desperately needs a team–any team– that can get into the top 25 and stay there. It also would love to have a TV presents in the Dallas market. The only problem is the BE basketball is 16 teams already and TCU does not have a strong basketball tradition.

#3 TCU @ #5 Utah – The loser is out of the Championship picture. The TCU D is #1 in most college stats and the O is 9th in scoring and 9th in rushing. The Utah D is 6th in points allowed and their O is 3rd in scoring. The key may be the difference in opponents. The only big time opponent that Utah has played was a badly over … Read more at FryingPanSports

Baseball playoffs

We would like to thank the Rays, Twins and Reds for stopping by in the playoffs. Please pick up your parting gifts as you leave. The series will be between the Yankees and the Phillies.

College Football

#1 Alabama @ #19 South Carolina – The ol’ Ball Coach will wish he still had the talent from his Florida days. Bama wins

#2 Ohio State v. Indiana – Forget about the injuries on O, you and I could score the Indiana D if you were having a bad game. The OSU D stops a good Indy O and OSU wins.

#3 Oregon @ Washington St. – Oregon runs up 50+ points and makes a case for jumping over OSU into 2nd.

#8 Auburn @ Kentucky – Auburn QB Cam Newton passes a bad Ky D silly. Auburn wins big.

#9 Arizona vs. Oregon St. – Az had a major letdown after a big win over Iowa and squeaked by Cal. They had better not have a let down here because the Beavers are tough. They have lost 2 games to top 6 teams.

#11 Arkansas @ Texas A&M – Ark is banged up after getting thumped by #1 Bama. … Read more at FryingPanSports

What did we learn from week 4 of the College Football Season?

football

The Big 10 (+1) knows how to schedule pre-league games.

Whether it is #2 Ohio State vs. Directional (Eastern) Michigan or #18 Iowa vs. Ball Corporation State, with just a few exceptions the Big 10 has played mostly easy opponents. Even so, a few teams had problems with the sisters of the poor. Northwestern struggled to defeat another Directional Michigan (Central) 30-25. Worse yet Purdue lost badly to Toledo of the MAC.

A few good games

#1 Alabama went to #10 Arkansas and came from behind in the 4th quarter to win 24-20. The game may have hurt QB Mallett’s pro prospects because he suffered 3 picks only one of which was not his fault.

#3 Boise St. beat #24 Oregon State 37-24. Except for a game against the current #25 Nevada, this was Boise’s last chance on a national stage to impress the voters and the computer of their case for inclusion in a National Championship game. Their win over Virginia Tech looked good until VTk lost to James Madison. The computers are killing Boise due to the “strength of schedule” factor to the point that I don’t think Boise can get into the Big Game.

#5 Oregon looked … Read more at FryingPanSports
