Hammond Wisconsin St Croix Central was his high school. He received 23 offers in total, with Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Ohio State among his top choices.

DeaMonte Trayanum (Twitter) played for the Sun Devils of Arizona State at running back but entered the transfer portal on November 29th. He was a running back coming out of high school and is transferring to Ohio State to play linebacker in 2022. Will be back in Ohio on January 11th.

Trayanum went to Akron Hoban High School in Ohio, a 4 star recruit in 2020, the 25th best running back, and 5th best overall player in Ohio. He was a 3 star player in the transfer portal. Always considered a linebacker by the Buckeyes, he returns home to play a familiar position he played in high school.

Ohio State Recruitment

Tony Alford, Al Washington, and Jim Knowles all recruited him for Ohio State. Ohio State and Michigan had both offered him scholarships. OSU was able to convert Steele Chambers from running back to linebacker in he third year with great success, and hopes to do the same with Trayanum.
