Outside Linebacker Raesjon Davis Visits Columbus Ohio

Top linebacker recruit Raesjon Davis visited Ohio State this past weekend to take a look at the campus and facilities, although the family was not allowed to meet with the coaching staff. The staff has been very active trying to lure Davis to Columbus for 2021 in a class that ranked 2nd in the country (behind Alabama) but only contains one linebacker, Reid Carrico. Davis is considered a 4 star recruit, the 4th best outside linebacker nationally, and the 4th best overall recruit from California.

Raesjon Davis Crystal Ball

Most experts are predicting Davis will commit to The University of Southern California when the late signing period ends. He has over 23 offers with schools such as LSU, Oregon, Auburn and Ohio State showing interest. For a long-time considered an LSU commit, he recently has opened up his recruitment. There are two weeks remaining to decide before the February signing period ends on February 3rd. Ohio State hopes to finish strong on two remaining prospects.

Raesjon Davis Excited

At 6’1” and 215 lbs., he has great size and speed. He came to Columbus with his parents for the weekend visit. He seemed pretty excited about Ohio State after the visit and is considering returning soon. If Davis does return to Ohio before the final signing day, then the contest between USC and OSU would be considered minimal.

Ohio State is assumed to be the lead program for 5 star defensive end JT Tuimoloau from Washington. Most 2021 recruits have signed and enrolled already for Ohio State.
