Ohio State have a ric͏h ͏history of creating top wide rece͏ivers, like C͏hris Carter, Michael Thomas, Terry͏ McLauri͏n, Chris Olave, Garre͏tt Wilson and Ted Ginn J͏r.͏ The team ha͏s also been continuous victorious on͏ the field, ͏clinchin͏g five Big Ten championships ͏and making͏ it to the Colle͏ge Football Playoff three times from 2014 to 2020. Ohio State’s off͏ens͏e is famous ͏for its dynamic passin͏g game and͏ excellent͏ skillful players who are adept ͏at running ͏r͏outes; they͏ will ͏highlight Ffrench as a ͏deep͏ threat.

A factor that makes Florida State appealing to Ffrench is the presence of his former high school teammate, Tramell Jones, who is committed to the Seminoles as their quarterback of the future. Ffrench and Jones have a strong chemistry and rapport, having led Mandarin High School to a state championship in 2023. Ffrench said that having Jones in Tallahassee is “hard to say no” to, and that he likes the idea of reuniting with his friend and fellow star.

Jaime Ffrench has visited Ohio State several times, most recently for junior day in January 2024. He also visited Ohio State in March 2023 and June 2022. He said he plans to return to Columbus for an official visit in the spring or summer. He is considered one of the top targets for the Buckeyes in the 2025 class. He said he enjoyed the most recent visit and felt comfortable with the coaches, players, and staff. He also praised the facilities, the campus, and the fan base of Ohio State.

Ffrench was previously committed to Alabama, but reopened his recruitment after Nick Saban retired in December 2023. He said he still has interest in the Crimson Tide, as well as Florida State and Miami, but admitted Ohio State is his current leader. His senior season begins in August and he has said he will make a final decision before that time.

Ffrench is considered it to be No. 16 best overall prospect in the nation, third best wide receiver, and 3rd overall recruit in the state of Florida by the 247Sports Composite. He is a dynamic and versatile player who can line up inside or outside, and has a quick, agile athleticism. He can make great plays on every level. He is also a multi-sport athlete who plays basketball and runs track.

Ohio State is looking to add another elite receiver to its 2025 class, which already has three-star prospect Jaywan Boggs. Ffrench would be a good fit for the Buckeyes, who have a history of developing and showcasing top talent at their position. Ffrench has the tools and ability to be a star throughout Ohio State, and the Buckeyes have every reason to be the top pick.
