NFC West starting position grades

The NFL got started this past weekend and here are my NFC west starting position grades.

	Cardinals
QB	Sam Bradford or Josh Rosen
	Bradford is a victim of bad coaching and being put in too soon after an injury. Rosen is green as baby peas. C+
RB	David Johnson
	He is solid IF he can stay healthy. Some decent depth behind him. B
WR	Larry Fitzgerald & Christian Kirk
	Fitz is older than rock and Kirk is a rookie. Behind them group includes Browns reject Greg Little. C-
TE	Jermaine Gresham & Ricky Seals-Jones
	Solid group here. Both can run and catch. B
OL	lt D.J. Humphries lg Mike Iupati c Mason Cole rg Justin Pugh rt Andre Smith
	The OL has been rebuilt again. This time it seems better. B
DL	le Robert Nkemdiche nt Corey Peters re Olsen Pierre
	This group has yet to prove they can play. D
LB	solb Chandler Jones lilb Josh Bynes rilb Deone Bucannon wolb Markus Golden
	Jones is all pro and outstanding. Rest are unproven and little to back them up. C-
DB	lc Patrick Peterson rc Jamar Taylor fs Antoine Bethea ss Budda Baker
	Peterson has lost a step. Any group that includes a former Brown can’t be good. C
	Rams
QB	Jared Goff
	Goff was good last year but bad in yr 1. I am guessing he will be OK in 18. B-
RB	Todd Gurley
	Gurley has 2 good seasons sandwiched around 1 bad yr. No depth here at all. B+
WR	Brandin Cooks & Robert Woods & Cooper Kupp
	All three are in top 35 of the league. A-
TE	Tyler Higbee
	Decent guy and some depth with Gerald Everett B-
OL	lt Andrew Whitworth lg Rodger Saffold c John Sullivan rg Austin Blythe rt Rob Havenstein
	Solid group but a little old. B
DL	le Ndamukong Suh nt Michael Brockers re Ethan Westbrooks
	Huge piece of the DL missing in Aaron Donald. He is holding out for a new deal. C without him A- WITH HIM
LB	lolb Matt Longacre ilb Mark Barron ilb Cory Littleton rolb Samson Ebukam
	LR couldn’t figure out how to use Quinn and that hurts this group. C-
DB	lc Marcus Peters rc Aqib Talib fs LaMarcus Joyner ss John Johnson
	Peters has a lot to prove. Talib has lost a step. Joyner is on Franchise tag, B-
	49ERS
QB	Jimmy Garoppolo
	He gave SF 5 wins to end the season. Could there be more this year? B
RB	Jerick McKinnon
	He came from MN and was good there. Not much of an OL here. C
WR	Marquise Goodwin & Pierre Garcon
	Goodwin is fine Garcon is average. Some depth B-
TE	George Kittle
	Kittle turned into a very solid TE as a rookie. C+
OL	lt Joe Staley lg Jonathan Cooper c Weston Richburg rg Laken Tomlinson rt Mike McGlinchey
	Rebuilt OL will be better with lg Cooper & c Richburg but not sure McGlinchey can play T. B-
DL	le Arik Armstead lt Earl Mitchell rt DeForest Buckner re Solomon Thomas
	Thomas and Buckner are OK Rest need a LOT of work. C-
LB	solb Eli Harold mlb Korey Toomer wolb Malcolm Smith
	When mlb Reuben Foster gets off his 2 game suspension this group will be better. Smith helps. D+
DB	lc Richard Sherman rc Ahkello Witherspoon fs Adrian Colbert ss Jaquiski Tartt
	If Sherman is healthy this group will be improved. If not group is below average. C-
	Seahawks
QB	Russell Wilson
	He does more with less than any QB in recent memory. No OL, NO RUN GAME. A
RB	Chris Carson or Rashaad Penny
	Penny is a rookie. Carson played OK last year. C
WR	Doug Baldwin & Tyler Lockett & Jaron Brown
	Baldwin is solid. Rest are good. Not much depth except Marshall. B
TE	Ed Dickson
	FA from CR but can’t replace Jimmy Graham C-
OL	lt Duane Brown lg Ethan Pocic c Justin Britt rg D.J. Fluker rt Jamarco Jones
	OL got better with Brown but is not good yet D-
DL	le Dion Jordan lt Jarran Reed rt Nazair Jones re Frank Clark
	Clark is the only pass rusher here D-
LB	solb Barkevious Mingo mlb Bobby Wagner wolb K.J. Wright
	any LB group that has Mingo is bad. Wagner is fine, C-
DB	lc Justin Coleman rc Shaquill Griffin fs Tedric Thompson ss Bradley McDougald
	Legion of Boom is dead. 3 of the 4 are gone & SE needs to sign Thomas D
