Analysis: NBA Draft Value Score

One thing that I have learned studying the NFL and NBA drafts for the last 50 years is that you can not ever evaluate how a team has done until at least 3 years after the fact. But in 2009 we are in an atmosphere of immediate reporting on the 24 hour sports news outlets. We don’t have 3 years to wait to see how our favorite team did.

Analysis: The Cavs take 2 steps up and 1 step back.

The Cavs took 2 steps up with the trade for C Shaquille O’Neal. Most of the experts are saying that Shaq won’t impact the Cavs that much. That is both true and false. But then they threw away their 1st round pick by drafting Christian Eyenga of the Congo via Spain. One step WAY back.
