American Football Coaches Association announced Wednesday that the final vote by individual coaches for the USA/Coaches Poll will not be made public. The ONLY vote of coaches that is made public is the final poll. The other polls really don’t care to anyone anyway.

The Commissioner’s wife was ready to dial 911 last night during the Laker Nugget game. Had the Nuggets won, she would have had to make the call. But when the Lakers won game 5 to take a 3 games to 2 lead in the series, she was able to go to bed without fear.

Viewership for baseball, the sport formerly known as America’s game, is down 9 percent from last year which was a disaster. Fox executives will visit Commissioner Selig high atop a 2 story Shell Station in beautiful downtown Milwaukee in an attempt to figure out what the problem might be.

I said before the series that if Denver was able to steal the first game because LA was hung over from the 7 game series against Houston, LA might be in trouble. LA managed to win game 1 by a margin that made the Senatorial election in Minnesota look like a landslide. Then came game 2 last night.
Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals was a debacle for the Cavs. The loss was potentially devastating for the Cavs chances of getting their star the only thing he doesn’t have and wants—an NBA title. The problem was not rust after the long layoff. The Cavs started fine and built a double digit lead. The problem wasn’t an off night for Lebron—he scored 49. I can’t believe that the Cavs took the Magic lightly because they had just finished off the NBA champion Celtics.
Michael Vick was released from prison today to spend the next couple of months of his sentence under house arrest. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is going to have to make a decision about QB Michael Vick’s return to the NFL before too long. The questions are how do you make the decision and what should that decision be.
The NBA Draft Lottery is being held tonight before the Laker Nugget game. The NBA has gone to the lottery because they can’t trust the teams to try to win rather than dumping the season to get the first draft choice. That says a lot about the teams.
I predicted this when Boston had a 3-2 lead in the series. One reaction I could not resist is that the team is not built around the Big 3—it is built around the Big 2.5.
