The problem is that in a three way deal, there is no way to compensate the Browns for the loss of Quinn. The Broncos will demand more than Quinn in return for Cutler. The question I posed boils down to where will the draft choice(s) for the Browns come from to compensate them for giving up Quinn?

Kentucky is no longer THE basketball power—GET OVER IT!

Wildcat fans are standing outside the Athletic Director’s office at Kentucky waiting for the white smoke from the chimney that indicates coach Billy Gillispie has been fired. No white smoke yet but it is just a matter of time. Kentucky’s years of dominating college basketball are over. The SEC is no longer the conference that super talents flock to. Granted, Ky has one of the greatest histories in all of college BB, but times have changed. To Blue fans—GET OVER IT!

Home Court advantage is the road to a crown for LA or Cleveland.

One of the great things about being a grandfather is that you get to play a lot of home games on holidays. The home court advantage in the 08-09 season is the key to winning the championship. Until Kevin Garnett was hurt for the Celtics, the race was a three team affair. Without KG, the Celtics have struggled and the contest for the best overall record is down to just two teams—The LA Lakers and the Cleveland Cavs.

February 28th a giant date for the NFL.

In one of his first public statements, the newly elected Executive Director of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) DeMorris Smith gave hope to millions of NFL fans. Smith said that he wanted to get started on negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) as soon as possible. While no one should hold his breath, there is a chance that the NFLPA and the owners can come up with a system that is going to acceptable to everyone involved.

Don't get too excited about a 3 team deal involving Jay Cutler and the Browns.

There is a lot of talk about the Browns being the point guard in a three way deal for Denver QB Jay Cutler. Not so fast, my friend. There are more than a couple chuck holes between Cleveland and anywhere Cutler is liable to end up.
