NOTE: Tonight NNR will discuss the biggest risers and fallers in the NFL Draft and I provide some of my favorite players that will not be drafted. Join Samantha Bunten of NBC Sports, former NFL scout Kelron Sykes and me at 6 PM EDT.

The NFL fans in Columbus have been screwed again by the NFL schedule makers. Columbus is the only major city that has fans from 2 teams in the same conference. New York has two teams but in different conferences thus on different networks.

It is always a struggle between Browns and Bengal fans for CBS local affiliate to cover “their” game. In previous seasons the NFL has tried to stagger the games on other networks so that each team would get at least 8-10 games shown on local TV. That is not the case this season.

The NFL had several chances to give Columbus viewers the ability to see both teams but it ignored the issue and screwed both teams’ fans. The Browns play Cincy on the NFL network. Had they played any other team, that would be one more game for both teams. Week 2 both teams host NFC teams. Since the visiting team determines the network, both games at 1PM will be on Fox. Again a chance missed to allow both teams fans to see their game. Both teams have week 4 as their bye. One more chance lost due to the NFL ignoring one of the best football markets in the country.

Because the Browns have been struggling, the majority of Bengals games are shown. This year the Browns will likely have only 5 to 6 games shown. The league either doesn’t care about fans in central Ohio or the goal of the NFL was to get more people there to sign up for the NFL package on Direct TV.

When in doubt follow the money!

That is what I think. Tell us what you think.
