2014 NFL Draft Boom or Bust – First round Offensive players

NFL Draft (2)

2nd Greg Robinson OT Rams – Robinson has a lot of work to do blocking the pass rush. If QB Sam Bradford can survive Robinson’s learning curve, both will be fine. Boom

3rd Blake Bortles QB Jags – Anyone expecting him to step in day 1 and be effective will be sorely disappointed. He is not ready now and will need at least a half a season to become a quality starter. Bust risk

4th Sammy Watkins WR Bills – They had better push for elimination of marijuana testing by the NFL. Watkins has exceptional skills but is a risk due to his history with weed. Boom talent with bust risk.

6th Jake Matthews OT Falcons – Big Boom from day 1.

7th Mike Evans WR Bucs – Big Boom from day 1.

10th Eric Ebron TE Lions – Boom but don’t expect him to block much.

11th Taylor Lewan OT Titans – Better than most expect and will be a Boom.

12th Odell Beckham Jr. WR Giants – Could be rookie of the year if Eli Manning gets his grove back. Boom

16th Zack Martin OT Cowboys – Will be a solid OG but does not have the feet to play OT. Bust

19th JaWuan James OT Dolphins – Bad reach that has Bust written all over it.

20th Brandin Cooks WR Saints – Slot guy that could have a big season. Boom

22nd Johnny Manziel QB Browns – IF he stays healthy and works hard he can be a Boom otherwise he will be just another QB Bust.

28th Kelvin Benjamin WR Panthers – This guy blew off a workout for a team that traveled to watch him because he was “too tired.” BIG BUST

32nd Teddy Bridgewater QB Vikes – The best value in the 1st round who would have been a top 10 had he worn his gloves at his pro day. BIG BIG BOOM
